It was summer today. The sun has glared down over Cork luring the people out in the warmth, to the beer gardens and luring the freckles out in the light, so that they now cover my face. Summer skin. I like it.
After work today we all gathered at the Raven for drinks in the sun and the gang was introduced to kind of new and brand new people: Kristina’s pretentious Poet, Jocke, and Maria’s friend, Matilda. Kristina, the Poet and I later went to an art exhibition to see a friend of Eva's art. Kristina found it interesting and asked for "wore mine", the Poet mostly gave an account of the different psychological disorders and drinking habits of the Scandinavian countries and I found it nice without any drinks at all.
I have kind of missed hanging out with everybody and when I did I got so nostalgic. God, I am going home soon! I even hugged people, while under neither the influence of alcohol nor a gun threat.
And you know what? Today is also a one month anniversary. I like that too.
(if my heart had a face it would smile)

This Business of Art
So. Kristina and I went to the opening of an art exhibition and drank loads of free wine. And that would be one of the best things about art exhibitions - drinking free wine and looking at the people looking at art. Of course, the art itself was also really good, since the artist showing of her work was the very talented and sweet Eva (lovely Irish girl). However, in the end there were two very drunk girls who could not take their eyes of all the alternative, converse-wearing, gorgeous girls (rather than the art).
And oh, a guy came up to me and said that I was beautiful. I freaked.
Now Kristina is getting Parkinson’s from eating the leftovers of yesterday’s cake. I really don't understand her.
(and by the way, a golden star will be rewarded to anyone who know where the title's from)

cake
Yesterday me and Amalie made the best food ever, carbonara witch kicked so much ass and chocolate cake that did to. Sara fell asleep in front of Transformers and slept through the noisiest eating of cake in a long time. Maria came home with Dave and made wierd pies. I will now share some recipes!
Carbonara
Carbonara
- tagliatelle
- rashers (or, if you don't live in Ireland, bacon.)
- mushrooms
- cream
- mozzarella
- egg
- salt and pepper
Cook pasta. Cut rashers into small peices and fry. Put in mushrooms after a little while. When thoroughly fried put in some cream, a little bit of mozzarella and salt and pepper. Serve with eggyolk and lots of grated mozzarella!
Chocolate cake of Doom!
- one pack of Tesco chocolate spongecake mix
- one bar of dark icing chocolate
- one jar of chocolate icing
- one egg
- some water
Make cakedough from cakemix, egg and water. Chop icing chokolate into small peices and stirr in. Put in a baking tin and put in the oven for 15 minutes. Take it out and let it cool and then put on the icing. Very simple, very good for pms. Put some pommegranade seeds on if you feel a bit fancy.
Tonight me and Sara are going to see Eva's art!
